"Every Home a Fort, Every Man a
Warrior," is the latest book written by local
attorney Michael Edward Nogay. The book includes a reference
chart of
troops
garrisoned at Fort Henry (Present-day
Wheeling) and Holliday's Cove (Present-
day Weirton) from 1775 through 1782. The back
cover of the book has a
detailed map showing the locations of over 30 forts and blockhouses in
Hancock,
Brooke, Ohio, and Marshall counties in West Virginia, including
Washington,
Beaver, and Greene counties in Pennsylvania. The artwork on
the cover is from
a painting created by Pittsburgh Artist, John Buxton. The
book is available at the
Weirton Area Museum and Cultural Center.
