Harmon Creek Flood - 1912

Enlarged
version of above picture is located at Wesbanco Bank on Penco Rd.
Art Miser provided this photo postcard for WAMCC to scan and use in
their photo collection.
On September 1, 1912, a great cloudburst
came over the cove valley and washed away all bridges
and houses along Harmon Creek. The photo above was taken at the Y-bridge, which branched at
Holliday's Cove toward New Cumberland (off to right of picture) and to Colliers
(toward the
viewer). The Ohio River and Steubenville are ahead
around the bend on left side of picture.
