Last year, Dr.
Raymond S. Greco, chairman of WAMCC's Art Exhibition
Committee, suggested the idea to have an annual event named after
Robert
Haworth, former Art Teacher at Weir High School and honor one of his
famous art students each year, displaying their
artwork.
The student selected for last year's event was Harry Ameredes, who is
known
worldwide for his sketches, wood art, and paintings. This
year's art exhibition
is scheduled for October
16 and will feature the beautiful paintings of Anthony
Sellitti along artwork of several other students of Mr. Haworth.
Also, today's
art students are welcome to bring examples of their masterpieces to the
show.
